Structurally categorized

Ordinary type: This structure was adopted before the 1960s. This is the basic type of sleeve compensator. Many types of sleeve compensator have been developed in this type after changing sealing materials.

Two-way compensation: There are expansion core tubes in both directions of common outer casing, the compensation is twice as much as that of common casing, and it is used for two-way compensation, which reduces the length, size and cost of adopting two common types.

Casing compensator for eliminating the axial force of medium pressure on fixed support: In order to distinguish it from ordinary compensator, this kind of compensator is usually defined as balanced type, pressure balanced type and no thrust type in the front crown of sleeve. Its structural form can be divided into by-pass type, piston balanced type and balanced angle type according to the principle of eliminating the axial force of medium.

Disposable sleeve compensator: Used for welding wire at the interface of a and B after preheating and expansion of buried pipeline. The outer sleeve and core pipe can no longer move relative to each other and then be landfilled. So it is called disposable compensator.
