Common Quality Problems in Installation of Sleeve Compensator
(1) No pre-stretching
(2) The installation direction of one-way sleeve compensator is wrong;
(3) There is no bracket on both sides of the compensator, especially when it is between two columns.
(4) The screw rod of sleeve compensator should not be loosened or removed after qualified hydraulic test.
Installation supervison points of sleeve compensator.
Before installing the sleeve compensator, it should be disassembled to check whether the internal parts and fillers are complete and whether the quality meets the requirements. The filler should be asbestos packing coated with graphite powder or asbestos rope soaked with oil.
Before installing sleeve compensator, the position and length of compensator should be set aside when installing pipeline. One flange should be welded at both ends of pipeline, and whether the flange is perpendicular to the central line of pipeline should be checked.
When installing sleeve compensator, it should be pre-stretched, and its pre-stretched length should meet the design requirements. When the design is not required, it can be pre-stretched according to the following table. Pre-stretching process of side station and sign pre-stretching record.
4. The one-way sleeve compensator shall be installed on the straight pipe near the fixing support, and the one end of the outer sleeve shall be directed towards the fixing support of the pipeline. The one end of the inner sleeve shall be connected with the pipeline that generates thermal expansion, and the inner sleeve shall be installed at the inflow end of the medium. The two-way sleeve compensator shall be installed between the two fixing brackets.
The center line of 5 sleeve compensator is identical with straight pipe section, and must not deviate. One or two guide sliding brackets are installed on both sides of the compensator (one-way sleeve compensator on its movable side) to ensure free expansion and non-deviation from the center during operation.
After installation of pipeline and qualified hydraulic test, the screw rod of sleeve compensator should be loosened or removed to avoid affecting the expansion of pipeline.
