The unidirectional expansion joint is composed of end pipe and joint parts such as bellows, pins, hinge plates, universal rings and vertical plates. It can absorb angular displacement in any plane and can withstand pressure and thrust of bellows. The unidirectional expansion joint is usually made up of two or three joints in the pipe section.

III. Notices for Installation and Use

1. The small tie rod on the expansion joint is used for installation and transportation adjustment. It can not be used as load-bearing parts. After the installation of the product on the pipeline, the small tie rod must be removed before it can be put into operation.

2. When the angle deformation of expansion joint is large or the system pressure is high, the recommended product should be "cold-tightened" during installation, generally 50% or 100% cold-tightened. The advantage of cold-tightening is mainly to improve the working stability of expansion joint and pipeline.
