The double-hinge expansion joint is composed of an end pipe and a bellows, pins, hinge plates, universal rings and vertical plates. It can absorb angular displacement in any plane and can withstand pressure and thrust of bellows. Double hinged expansion joints are usually used in combination of two or three sections.

III. Installation Notes

1. The small tie rod on the expansion joint is used for installation and transportation adjustment. It can not be used as load-bearing parts. After the installation of the product on the pipeline, the small tie rod must be removed before it can be put into operation.

2. When the angle deformation of expansion joint is large or the system pressure is high, the recommended product should be cold-tightened during installation, usually 50% or 0%. The main advantage of cold-tightening is to improve the working stability of expansion joint and pipeline.
